It is with sadness that Central Bancompany must announce its departure from the student loan industry. For over 29 year, smartFUNDS, in partnership with our local community banks, has participated in the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), assisting thousands of students and parents in their efforts to finance a post-secondary education.
Effective July 1, 2009, all inquiries and requests for student loan assistance should be directed to MOHELA Customer Service at 1-888-866-4352.
Students and parents searching for a student loan provider are encouraged to work closely with the Financial Aid Office of their chosen educational institution. Financial Aid administrators are the experts and have the most up-to-date student loan information available.
